If you're looking to read some short stories, then it's time for tales!
This is the beginning of a series of short story collections I plan to release. I intend to include four stories in each volume, so it isn't really time for tales, it's Time Four Tales!
Volume I
Volume I contains the four stories above. Gold and gallows, arrows and indecision, the above stories total just over 10,000 words worth of Western fiction. Here's a short sample from Hangman:
He slammed into the crude bunk, and scant seconds later the door slammed shut behind him. The closing of the cell door marked the end of his freedom, cutting him off, and isolating him from, the outside world.
Deputy Perkins stood outside the cell door, dangling the keys and grinning malevolently, and for the first time Johnny Beckins knew hate.
Being tossed in jail in full view of members of the town, many of whom he had known the entire three years he’d been in Creede, was bad enough.
But being rudely throw into confinement by the very man who had committed the crime lay beyond Johnny’s good-natured sense of humor.
Angry and humiliated, and reasonably so, Johnny Beckins lunged off the bunk and stepped quickly to the bars, gripping one tightly with each of his hands.
“You’re a dirty, low-down...” Beckins was starting to say when the front door opened, cutting him off in midsentence.
